I seem to be developing more suck as time wears on. When you're animating your art doesn't have to be spectacular, there are concessions when you have to make the bloody stuff move around. Sucking sucks, there's a deep statement for you. It feels like I've never picked up a tablet pen before. When I compare my artwork to the other stuff here on DA, I'm blown away. There is some major talent on this site, the creativity and skill that is exhibited here is phenomenal. Oh well, we must soldier on through the self pity, eh?

While I may be a purist at heart and pen on paper is definitely my preferred medium, I do love the options that digital art can provide. Right now, I'm trudging through a bunch of programs to see what I like to use best. The clean vector graphics of flash and adobe illustrator really appeal to me, but I way prefer to use the flash interface, having done endless animations way back when, it's hard to get used to something new. Photoshop is a no-no, I have a fairly recent copy but I really can't get to grip with the tools for some reason.
